“Heredia is a city in the Heredia province of Costa Rica, of which it is the capital; it is 10 kilometers to the north of the country's capital, San José. The city is home to one of the largest colleges in Costa Rica, the National University of Costa Rica, which accepts many international students. Heredia is located north of San José and is part of its metropolitan area. Warm year-round, the temperatures are tempered by the amount of cloud cover that affects the area. The rains are spread throughout the year, but the rainiest period is May to October. The climate is relatively mild throughout the year”. "Miramar is the district number 1 and the head of the canton of Montes de Oro, Puntarenas Province, Republic of Costa Rica. As cantonal head Miramar has bank offices, a clinic in the Costa Rican Social Security, Alcoholics Anonymous, Costa Rican Red Cross and others. Miramar is located in the center of Montes de Oro, bordered to the north by the district of La Union and south to San Isidro. To the west it borders the central canton of Puntarenas, and the East with the cantons of San Ramon Esparza and Alajuela. It belongs to the tropical climate belt, and microclimate of transition between tropical wet (which corresponds to the south of the province) and dry, typical of Guanacaste. Miramar receives approximately 12 hours of sunshine per day and an annual rainfall of 1873-2346 mm. Miramar is at 340msnm on Costa Rica's Pacific slope, in an area with a large slope.
